Looks like another xenoblade game that’s substantially different from the others.
I’m playing through 3 right now, and the world feels pretty dull and dead compared to the first two. But I suppose that’s kind of the point? But I’m only 30 hours in, so I don’t know if it changes substantially. At least genesis looks more alive, though maybe still not as fantastical as 1 and 2?
1 is still my favorite game, though there might be some nostalgia goggles. Loved 2, vibrant and fantastical world, likable characters. X was wack and overall meh, though I didn’t use any of the online functionality. And like I said 3 is so far very meh. Interested to see where genesis lands, but based on the trailer and 3 I’m not super optimistic, but I’m sure it’ll be decent.
