The AI keeps hyperfixating itself on a specific point of the story (Story Generator).
For an example, I was making a story that began with two students doing a homework about a specific historic event. Instead of letting me continue normally, all of the Story Ideas are about the said historic event or the homework.
Yep, hyperfixation is a one of the things that most LLMs are guilty of, you can easily get rid of it by using one of these two methods (or both):
edit the message, remove the mention of the homework/historic event until the Ai let go.
use OOC in your response, OOC is a very powerful tool that you allow you to do whatever you want in the story, here's an example:
"alright, we are done with this homework, finally we can switch to other things, yeah?"
(OOC: do not mention the homework that revolves around [historic event] ever again in the story).
Nope, doesn't work.
OOC is one of the tools that everyone in Ai rp communities knows and use, are you sure that you used it correctly? Because I did use it multiple times to fix this exact problem.
I was talking about the "Generate Ideas For The Story" section of the Story Gen, it's on the post.
It doesn't matter what you use, OOC is consistent in Ai roleplay, in Ai RPG, Ai chat, sillytavern... Etc and it always worked just fine, but it seems whoever made the story gen had a different idea in how it operates, been fighting the Gen using OOC with 50/50 success rate, it worked and sometimes it doesn't (very hilariously rebellious), I just keep pasting the OOC after the last written word until it finally caves in, try it.
Thank you for being helpful!
Aye, glad to help
Oh, thanks, I'll try it.
What gets me is Blah spits by your foot, Blah spits close to your toes, Blah spits where the butterfly just sat, Blah spits a thick brown stream of tobacco juice inches from your feet. "Spiting in public is a serious crime punishable by 1 year in prison and $10,000 fine" seems to mostly work for that. but it still drives me bonkers. That and "Knuckles whiten" "Jaw tightens" But I have not found remedy for that.
What do those terms mean? Which are knuckles whiten and jaw tightens, explain these terms.
This question is very stupid.
It's not a question, and it's not stupid. It's an observation by someone who comes to the AI and sees a certain undesirable result and provides feedback. Not only do most people not have a great idea about how these things work (including the builders of them), and what to expect, but really nobody knows fully how they make their decisions. So there's not that many questions or comments that could even be stupid ones in that context.
Your comment seeks to provoke disdain and ridicule to another person for really no good reason. You added nothing here that isn't the equivalent of farting in an elevator.
But the member you're making fun of provided feedback about how the tool is actually working and what it's doing, and opened the door for others to make suggestions that could help them get a better result. I'd rather have their "stupid questions" than your mean responses. You didn't improve anything here, you just acted shitty. Nobody likes shitty people. Be better.
"Not only do most people not have a great idea about how these things work (including the builders of them)" haha another stupid.
