Liverpool FC can confirm Arne Slot is to depart his role as head coach with immediate effect and that the process to appoint a successor is under way.

@afc isn't the idea that the transfer season has nothing to do with the coach.
Wow, if only they had been more decisive earlier, they might have saved locker room morale, and gotten a better start to the transfer season.
Maybe Mo will change his mind and ask to stay even.
I do want Konate gone though.
But it was money talking the loudest, and failing to qualify for the Champions League is what did Slot in.
Now they will waste time hiring a new manager, and our transfer window will be effectively shortened.
That all points to a front office problem.
It should have been obvious to someone in charge like Richard Hughes, that Slot couldn't get the team balanced, especially our defending, despite having his hand in last summer's transfers.
Waiting until the last day of the season to fire Slot points to some kind of stupid personal bet like "get into the Champions League, or you're fired" without thought about how the club would be set back in the transfer window.
Or maybe that was in Slot's contract, that he couldn't be fired without good cause, and the question of CL qualification happened to drag until the final match day.
Again, a front office problem.
Fenway sports group and firing coaching staff, name a better duo I’ll wait
