Lol this is confusing because these days they call or text. Basically this is boomer humor

Weird. When I have tradesmen at my house they’re often talking on the phone.

Hm well I have a 100 yr old money pit and they always text or call to confirm they are here

Nope. The boomers have all retired from working.

imagine having such social anxiety you are scared to pick up the phone, but having the audacity to talk smugly about boomers 😂

The joke would be more clear if they're just talking to themselves without the phone at all. It looks like they could be talking to themselves while the phone has been ringing for a long time or going to voicemail.

Or you could change the text so it's more clear they're talking to someone on the phone and not to themself. Something like "yeah, they didn't answer" in the first panel.

Yeah I think that's the intention, but it looks like they are holding the phone away from their mouth so the body language combined with the ambiguous text can easily be interpreted as them just talking to themselves out loud as the phone rings for the 10th time or goes to voicemail.

They just keep charging missed appointment fees and that's now the main business, they haven't fixed a doorbell since 1985.

My dad had a phone that did not ring anymore at work, made an IT ticked but they closed it with "tried to contact. customer, but does not pick up". He just walk over friendly asking what's up with closing the ticket.....

I missed the delivery of my new phone because they tried to call me. I have a functional and clearly labeled doorbell...

We labeled the doorbel with an doorbel icon. Believe me they still try to press the pin numbers on the smart lock. I just made an automation that it would now also just ring the doorbel in our smart home
