I thought Ethan Klein was a zionist until I looked it up recently and he's definitely against the genocide and pro-accountability for Netanyahu. TIL.

I appreciate you saying that; he really got dragged through the mud with his and Hasan's beef, but even before October 7th he's been a vocal critic of Bibi, including when living in Israel and having actual stakes in voting against him. You can take or leave his show and his style, but the broad brush painting of him as a zionist/bad parent/pedophile has been insane to see as someone that has watched him for a while. He's got a nuanced take on Israel that is anti the government, anti the war in Palestine, Anti the IDF, Pro the Palestinian people, anti Israeli settlers...but also has impulse control problems (actual tourette's) and says inflammatory shit that is easy to quote and add to the short-form pile on.

Going back to talk radio, I really find comfort in the ensemble cast of people going over current events, ribbing each other and disagreeing with each other, and generally just making inside jokes and having mini storylines. H3 is my current outlet for that, it's been Stern in the past, and when I lived in the south a radio show called Lex and Terry. The difference for me over this and the relationship a lot of people have with streamers is...I'll disagree with the "host" a lot, but that's not enough to stop listening, it helps me contextualize bad takes and craft my own opinions when they are challenged. Like I'm a big fan, but I for sure don't agree with everything he says, and I like when Dan and the crew push back.

It really didn't help that a bunch of zionists came to his defence when iDubbbz decided to make a content cop about it. Guilty by association vibes.
