This is likely because I was considering installing it tonight.

But seriously, this sucks. I know Seerr keeps flirting with OIDC. I hope Jellyfin will take the plunge as well. At this point, I get kind of irritated when something I host doesn't support it.

Well, good news then: https://features.jellyfin.org/posts/230/support-for-oidc-oauth-sso

From "planned" to "started" and ultimately "completed" can potentially take some time though.

But if you're using Authentik like me, then I can show you how I set up an LDAP outpost for Jellyfin to communicate with while everything else uses OIDC. Still centralised auth, but while LDAP is not as good as OIDC it works great until official OIDC support.

Do you have a writeup about this somewhere? I'd be interested in learning how that works.

I don't but if current guides aren't enough then I could look into making a write up some time next week

And yet, I have working odic 🤷‍♂️

I'm curious, do you think the former dev want just copying code from other odic projects and examples of do you think they actually figured out the odic protocol and coded it from scratch?

Neither because they probably aren't stupid:

<PackageReference Include="Duende.IdentityModel.OidcClient" Version="6.0.1" />

Nobody who "codes" calls it "coding"

Coding is what happens to people in the back of the ambulance.

This account just spams comms with pro-AI comments all day, and I've seen them state in other comment sections that they actively ban evade if mods take action against them. Recommend just blocking and moving on.

Then feel free to submit it and give back to the community (oh and get ripped apart in the process for the slop it most likely is)
