Love and Hex started out as a joke about my D&D campaign and turned into an ongoing rom-com/horror story. It's on Webtoon and other platforms. Also r/LoveAndHex. And the first volume of strips is out as a book!

That poor, foolish bartender going for the palm. That's an area that moves and flexes constantly. It'll make doing his job a nightmare until it heals!

I don't know why they always go for the palm in movies and whatnot. Yes it looks cool and dramatic, but it's really stupid to do!

Probably because it's the easiest way to hide the fact that they're not actually cutting anything without using a full prosthetic or CGI. There's already a bunch of folds, so it's easy to hide the lack of new indents from a cut.

It would also be the natural resting spot for a bloodpack you're palming to hide while cutting it open. It's just so hard to ignore how unrealistic a cut choice it is once you notice and think for a second.
