This week's featured artist is Doug and the Slugs!
Doug and the Slugs are a pop rock band from Vancouver that hit the height of their popularity in the 1980s, when they released a number of hits that became popular in Western Canada especially Too Bad, Making It Work, Day By Day, and Tomcat Prowl. The song Too Bad is especially well known for having been the theme song for The Norm Show, starring Norm MacDonald.
Unfortunately, Doug Bennett, the lead singer of the band, passed away in 2004 after struggles with alcoholism, though the band continues to perform today.
