Found this Olivetti by chance in a thriftstore

By chance I stubmled on this Olivetti ETP 92 in a thrift store, got it for 10€. Now I need some help, as far as I can tell this typewriter is functionally the same as the Olivetti ETP 55, from pictures and descriptions. But I can't really find any information about the ETP 92. Is it some regional naming or is it an oddity or just so not interesting enough to have much information online? Any one here know anything about this novel machine. It works perfectly and I have replacement ribbons on the way already, hopefully they fit.

Damn, that’s nice! Olivetti always had nice designs. You should post this in a mechanical keyboards community, they’d go nuts!

Thanks I'm happy with my purchase. Hoping some enthusiast here knows more than I can find online about it.

Beautiful find! It effectively looks like the ETP55, but I found almost no information about it. I presume it's a variation, maybe one with less options, but I don't know a lot of things about electronic typewriters.

Do you want me to ask on a Discord for typewriter enthusiasts?

Same as me then, happy about either way. Mostly curious about it and it's history.

Hey but I just saw that it's a Swedish keyboard! That's probably the reason for the different name. It's (probably) a model slightly different, thought for the Swedish/Scandinavian/Nordic market.

You might be right. That would explain the lack of online documentation in English, and Swedish for that matter. The enthusiast crowd for old Olivetti's in Sweden is probably measures in the dozens.

I just recieved the replacement "eraser" ribbons that were for the ETP 55 and one of the spools seemed to be turned the other way. Easy fix and the "ink ribbon-case has sligtly different design on its arms. Do however fit as far as I can tell. So definitely different machines.
