Just finished my first 10 mile race yesterday without stopping to walk! It felt pretty good but yeah I'm really sore.
I'm normally a heavy lifter, so running for two hours is pretty outside my jam.
But this time, I decided I'd train by running ten minutes longer each week. I didn't worry about pace, in fact I'd run the slowest I possibly could, but just increment the time. This helped me build a really solid cardio base.
Damn I'm jealous. I have strong cardio that lets me run fast and far but I just get injured when i do. I ran a 5k yesterday but I made sure to stay behind my wife because her pace is much slower than mine.

Congrats! And I hope you feel better soon lol
I did a Spartan Sprint this weekend. It was a lot of fun and I trained for it for months but I'm still hurting where I never hurt before.
My watch wants me to run for an hour and 46 minutes this morning, and so I guess I'll check in to this meme in about three hours.
