So the Melbourne daily gets like 14 million comments per day, similar to the Reddit Bris Random....
OK OK .... But seriously now. I post some pics here and they get a nice amount of attention ( upvoats?) So to my tiny mind that means that there's a fair few of "us" here yeah ?

I can't speak for others, but I often browse the 'Local' feed and will upvote your pics, but I wouldn't comment in a discussion thread because I'm not from Brisbane. Maybe that is part of the difference between upvote and discussion activity?
I do wonder about the difference in numbers.
I think it’s because a bunch of us Melbournites/Melbournians(?) migrated together already knowing each other from the Reddit DT. The habit was already there and the ice was already broken
Zagoroth and I both came from Reddit to this community at around the same time, so there's at least 2 of us from the great /r/brisbane migration :p

I too come from the Bris SubReddit. I had this same username towards the end and got banned for daring to question the delicate mods there. I used to be BOLAX on there for about a decade.

Lol. Hey really, every mod is an individual. Heck I've met lots of them. I've even had two visit me at home at different times.
It kinda sux when you have been a big enough part of something but all it takes is a knobhead softy to spoil things.
I could use the excuse to get out more since I got a new motorbike and mostly WFH. I’ll have to go someone and get photos. I’m surprised the amount of people I see from here in the wild on Lemmy especially given Lemmy is still somewhat “niche” for lack of a better term.

Well I don't go anywhere or do anything interesting these days. The daily chat is just that, a daily random chat about not much. Give it a whirl, everybody seems pleasant enough and you'd be welcomed.
