Driving 20 under is also more deadly than 20 over. Note this is also relative to the average speed. This is not helped by the fact that all roads have a natural speed limit and most signs do not reflect that.

I absolutely agree. From what i have seen the people going absolutely nowhere cause traffic, followed by people trying desperately to get around them which leads to confusion and possible issues. Of course an accident at a higher speed will definitely be more devastating.

The problem is our roads are designed for 1950s vehicles...

Modern cars can go a lot faster, but turns and other things aren't designed for that.

There's a reason "random" turns are accident magnets, they were 70 years and are just flat out unsafe.

So like, "speed is the problem" only because we don't have the infrastructure to drive as fast as cars can, and that's always gonna result in people breaking the speed limits, because 99% of the time it's safe
