Walk the beach looking for a spot where the beach is further out than elsewhere, a peninsula of beach.
That's usually a good indicator of where the water flows back out to sea as the waves recede, that flow will push bait fish out to sea where the larger fish you want to catch are waiting for them
Also look for sandbars where waves break before hitting the beach. Right behind/in front of that should be troughs where larger fish stalk bait fish
Thanks for the tip! I usually fly fish on small European rivers so this is definitely new for me. I got 2 small fishes so far and several mises. I’m baiting with ugly-ass red worms based on what was available in a local shop.
