Suggestion: allow opening Lemmy and piefed links in the app
On android, it is possible to set apps to be able to open certain links in app, and many Lemmy and Piefed clients, such as Voyager and Thunder have this. I would suggest adding this functionality, where one could go into settings and allow Blorp to open posts and comments from various Lemmy and pieces instances. (Image attached above of the menu I am referring to in case my explanation was confusing)
You're not the first person to ask for this. I'll see how voyager does this, and make an implementation plan accordingly.
I know Android could use a lot of improvement. I could really use a more active Android beta track. For example, I know there is some awkwardness with exiting fullscreen video on certain Android devices due to the controls being cut off.
Unfortunately, I've only been able to setup a beta track for Google Play and not F-Droid, and since many users are using F-Droid, I've kinda stalled on some fixes that need more testing.
If you're reading this and happen to be using the Google Play Blorp download, consider joining the Join Google Play Beta and also joining our matrix group chat so I can run new features by you.
One suggestion to help with that issue could be releasing beta versions of Blorp on gitbub with apks, although there's no pressure to do that and I understand if it's easier to use google play as is currently done. I do appreciate that you saw and responded to this and I have joined the matrix room :)
