The USA has the richest people in the world. I wouldn't call it the richest country.

I was referring to the top 1%. The wealth inequality is ridiculous, and only getting worse.
the richest live in affluent neighborhoods with everything provided for them, anything lower is on thier own.
context is important. the US is the 11th wealthiest country in the world per capita.
so yes, wealthier than a third world country, but still not the wealthiest.
Below 50th for standard of living.
