Is lemmy.sdf.org slow for folks in Europe?

SDF is my favorite instance hands off, but I noticed it's way slower for me than other instances with inferior setup. I measured the time of loading posts and communities, and it's loading around 3-4 times slower than other instances. I am based in EU. Regardless, I will continue to use it, as I love you all here on SDF :)

Anyone with similar experiences?

Oh, cool! I will definitely switch to that. 29ms ping vs the 168ms I get from the US instance. And it's nicer to keep my data on my own continent.

Currently, it is impossible to register there (button is spinning forever). Trying from mobile now and will report in 5 minutes.

Same here, 12 hours after your comment. I guess I'll wait until they upgrade to Lemmy 0.18.

I'm there now! It turns out that even if the spinner was spinning, the account was actually created and I could log in.

do we need to signup again for it? I tried my credentials, but it's just spinning endlessly.
