How's your Linux experience in Macbooks with T2 security?

Looking to purchase an old cheap macbook air 2018 just as a spare laptop but i understand it has T2 chip which may not go well. Just wondering if anyone here has already tried Linux in this macs and is it in a usable state?

Super good! Been using T2-Linux (Mint) for a year now and it’s been great. I had to fiddle with the WiFi but everything else works as expected. My work computer died, so I used it as a work laptop for several months with no issues. It pretty much refuses to run any games on Steam, but mine is a MacBook Air and I don’t think its specs would do much in that regard anyways.

Thanks for the feedback. What's your macbook air? I've seen videos like 2017 air can play CS:GO so I thought the specs is enough to play simple games like Balatro or Celeste, etc.
