This is a trivial function, as there is no x for f(x) to act upon. Unless y were to be defined in terms of x (which is not given), y must be treated as a constant, meaning the function is simply a horizontal line parallel to the x axis at constant value y. Of course, this is unsolvable without knowing the value of y.
