A trance mix I made!
I wanted to put together a mix with some of my favourite trance gems that was suitable for a good dance session. I recorded this live on the night of 20th Feb 2026. There are a few imperfections but it's a good representation of where I am with my mixing right now. I definitely find it harder mixing trance than prog!
Please enjoy! any constructive feedback is welcome, I am learning as I go.

Hey thanks! I have started out my journey with the Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX and Mixxx (I'm a linux user). Very happy with both, the mixtrack was a great choice and Mixxx is great software.
Cool! I also recently switched over to Mixxx. I was a happy user of Mixvibes Cross for many years but it's basically been discontinued at this point and isn't stable on Linux, which I now use. I still mix on a DDJ-SX which is fully supported by Mixxx, so I put the effort in to setup everything again. It was worth it, I should have switched over years ago!
How long have you been DJing for?
I got my controller xmas of 24 so only just over a year, really been enjoying it so far, teaching myself and trying to create mixes inspired by the old classic mix cd's. Considering trying to find somewhere local that will let me play live as my next step.
How about you?
I got my first controller at the start of 2014 (Gen 1 DDJ-WeGo) but I started with keyboard + mouse and VirtualDJ a couple of years earlier. Originally I was mixing J-Core before branching out to other genres. It's been a very off and on hobby for me so despite the length of time I'm not amazing or anything. I went through a period from around 2016 to 2020 where I was a lot busier and doing events and felt more confident about it. I am quite rusty these days and still learning my way around Mixxx, but whenever I see other people sharing their mixes like you're doing it does inspire me to pick it up again. :)
I'm very heartened to hear it's inspired you a bit :) please share anything you feel comfortable to! Yea i'm keen to mix some other genres especially old DnB, numetal and disco! I basically only really do old trance and prog house currently. I can imagine like you my interest may ebb and flow, currently it's flowing!
