Name some default Firefox settings you think don't make sense.
I'll start: Opening new tabs all the way to the right or bottom, rather than next to the current tab. Its especially disorienting on vertical tabs, I lose track of which (I changed the setting but its still annoying on blank Firefox profiles).
Wat?
That's wild that people prefer next-to-current tab. I would have never guessed people actually use that.
Have you considered, and I know this is sacrilegeous to some users, closing tabs? It's not like you ever need or use them ever again, no matter how much you keep telling yourself otherwise! 😛
Joking of course but geez. It's not like I might not have 60-70 tabs open for work purposes momentarily (before closing 50+ again once a task is complete), but they're folded in groups then, not just in a long line.
@Carighan
That's crazy talk. :)
Actually, I do close tabs frequently. I also keep some tabs forever. Why use bookmarks when you can use a tab?
TBH, I have many thousands of tabs spread across dozens browser instances, many of which have multiple windows. At the moment, on my desktop I am running 7 vivaldi instances, 10 firefox instances, and 2 librewolf instances.
I like having a browser instance for each large task, each with windows for the subtasks.
