[Daredevil: Born Again / Hawkeye] If Swordsman is rich, why does he have such a bad suit?
Jack Duquesne, a.k.a. Swordsman in the MCU, is super, super rich. He was engaged to Kate Bishop’s mom, who was also super wealthy. He’s basically French Bruce Wayne with a sword, so why is his suit so… um, homemade and bad? Couldn’t he get a high-tech suit?

You can't buy taste, and Jack has already strongly established the fact that, Swordsman though he may be, he's also kind of an idiot.
