Twenty-two workers at the Dunbar location voted to join the USW in February, joining two other Metro Vancouver Starbucks — Clayton Heights in Surrey and Valley Centre in Langley — in beginning negotiations for a collective agreement. Around the same time, workers at non-unionized shops in B.C. were given pay increases.

oh so they actually can afford to pay their staff more.....

No, no, no you can't have the filthy peasants cutting into shareholder profits. You asking for and getting a raise may cause a shareholder to not be able to afford that 5th home for their kids spring break.

Smh, entitled ass peasants need to remember their place. You exist to serve your betters.

I hope this isn't needed but just in case

the reason starbucks keeps getting away with this is because of the feckless local, state, and federal governments who don't sue them for illegal labor practices. and so it goes.

Here I thought we were supposed to cheer on Starbucks for sticking it to the evil and greedy landlord. Hard to keep up with whatever is in current internet rage fashion.
