How many cases from the TV series Unsolved Mysteries remain unsolved in 2026?
Was thinking of rewatching the series, but I only want the episodes where the mysteries haven't been solved to this day otherwise I'd just end up watching Solved Mysteries and what fun is there in that?
There is a Fandom wiki that seems to have categories for both cases that are unsolved, and ones unresolved (partially solved but still have unresolved questions). As of posting, there are 670 unsolved and 248 unresolved cases listed across all seasons.
Watching Unsolved Mysteries on PlutoTV, I like that the producers of the show actually add updates to the end when things have been changed or solved. They could just replay the episode as is, but they make the effort to introduce new updates. I appreciate that from them.
Don't know, but watching heavy case files on YT from time to time, DNA is solving a lot.
Could DNA contribute to something like, lets say, the Epstein files?... that would be huge!...
It entirely depends on if evidence was gathered that it could be matched to.
My guess is the answer is no. Most of the reports I'm aware of were made quite a bit after the fact, and even if DNA evidence was collected, I'm sure it's been "lost".
There's a youtube channel called Criminal Core that posts about cases that are solved after 'x' number of years and it's always because of DNA.
Sadly it's AI narrated, which sucks. I'd much prefer a human. But the stories are interesting in an "Unsolved Mysteries" kind of way.
