This was what was left before the shave. Used probably my thirstiest brush, a 26 mm Maggard boar, bowl loaded and lathered. It took a little bit to get it all loaded but it's gone now. Matched it with my genuine Tobacco Vanille fragrance for the occasion.

The night before last, Jazz 8646 struck a fire truck that crossed in front of it while landing in LGA. The 2 pilots were killed, but by a stroke of luck everyone else was spared. Even the forward flight attendant, who was flung from the aircraft while strapped in her jumpseat, got away with just a broken leg which will require surgery.
This accident hit a little too close to home for me. I've landed or taken off on that runway hundreds of times. I recognize the voice of the controller involved, and all I can say is he's one of the good ones. Anyone can make a mistake, and it takes multiple mistakes -- often from multiple people -- to get to the point of an accident. It's my opinion that these controllers have been operating at red-line for way too long, and our government has failed us yet again by not having enough staff at our airports. The controller was already dealing with another emergency on the field before this second event happened, increasing his workload way beyond what it should have been.
In tribute to the pilots, I used my aviation themed soap today. It's a nice scent, and of course the base is incredibly easy to use. This razor is still impressing me! Very efficient.
Tabac Tuesday while I travel for work. I had a close comfortable shave with Maggard's Slant. It is nowhere near as efficient as my normal Superslant, but the result was fine.
It's nice. It has good quality leather. The zipper is fantastic. It has a handle on the back side. The inside is pretty plain, no pockets or lining - it's a big rectangular prism.
I shifted my hardware to the Range Leather dopp kit so it doesn't bang up the software or bowl. Having two dopp kits dedicated to shaving is a bit ridiculous, but I'm having fun! 😊

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
This was a comparison test between an edge created on a Vermont Green slate and one created on a Vermont Mottled Gray slate. And since it is a Tuesday, Tabac was the perfect choice for soap, splash, and EdT.

Have a good day.
I’ve thought about getting one of those Stirling dopp kits for a while now. How do you like yours?
