Tridi 3 Germinal an 234 de la Révolution, jour d'Asperge

This is a sample I got from one of my razor aquisitions. The scent was rather faint, possibly from bad storage on my part. However, it smells a bit like the goth cousin of Le Grand Chypre – clearly the same family, but a darker version. The base is pretty soft, but it lathers very easily, and gives ample protective and slick lather. Noice!

Have a good day!

$discord Great shave. Great soap. Great razor. One thing I wonder about this razor is how long the threads will last. The threads on a Tech, for example, seem to be made of a more durable material (probably brass). These threads feel sort of rough and unpleasant, making me think they're zamak. Other than that, I prefer this razor to a tech.

Tub Kill Day 10 - March 23, 2026

  • Prep: Shower
  • Brush: Dogwood Handcrafts w/ Declaration Grooming B17 badger
  • Razor: GEM G-Bar
  • Blade: GEM PTFE
  • Lather: Stirling Soap Co. - Haverford

  • Fragrance: Southern Witchcrafts - Fougere Nemeta
  • Whiskers: Jojoba/Argan w/Tea Tree Oil
  • Skin Health: Zinc Oral Supplement
This tub is almost done for. It may take some slightly heavy loading but it will be gone tomorrow so I will have stuck to my one in one out practice to make room for the Saponificio Varesino. Then I can get back to rotating through the few other soaps I have around as well.

Oh yeah... you can definitely kill that tomorrow. Spread it out as thin as you can and like you said -- load it like you hate it.

Another vote for Fanzine.

My first time shaving with this soap since I got it and I very much enjoyed the scent. It pairs nicely with Heather.
