How did we reach the point that nearly all elections in the last month to years basically end up being 50/50?
In this case it's the two round voting system used in france, the first round looked very different.
Polarisation.
Chikirou is not left. She is a tankie nutjob.

🔴 In parliament, she voted against aid to Ukraine, arguing "This would be bad for peace"
🔴 She said China isn't a dictatorship
🔴 She paid tribute to the leader of Hamas
🔴 She told a group of Russians : "I will make sure Ukraine can never join the EU or NATO. They have a huge responsibility for seeking war"
🔴 She compared socialists to insects that must be crushed
