The right thing to do, plus this will help prevent looking like favouritism in the wake of Punk's firing since Perry is getting punished too.
Definitely, but hopefully he'll be back with a lesson learned.
Definitely. Even Orton shaped up, Perry's got lots of time to go yet and he'll 100% be on his toes from here on out (especially if he's out for a good long while).
That's fucking dumb.
Punk did way worse and didn't get shit until he literally committed at least 2 crimes in front of multiple witnesses, security cameras, and Khan himself.
This honestly reeks of "See? We're punishing him too" to try and get ahead of criticism.
When Andrade jumped Sammy, Sammy didn't get punished for being assaulted, and he riled him up just as much if not more.
Idk, I may be biased but Perry should not get anything more than a stern talking to about not doing this kind of inside baseball bullshit because it fucking sucks, like when Baker gave Rosa a sandbag, but beyond that? Nah.
Crucially, because if he did that to anyone else in that locker room it would have amounted to him getting flipped off on the way to catering, not assault and battery.
Do that to Castagnoli or Danielson, actual professionals, and they might tell you off but, realistically, they'll most likely just write you off as a dumbass kid who needs to learn on his own skin what is or isn't a bad idea and move on.
I don't think anyone would argue that Punk got handled with anything other than the softest gloves. I'd argue that the Sammy and Andrade issue didn't escalate to the level Punk did, but I think Sammy should have been suspended too.
What's that old saying? It takes two to tango. I guess some people missed that memo.
