I love how they pretend the constitution is like the bible and they can just make up whatever they want it to mean.

Just to clarify, they weren't voting to overturn same-sex marriage. They're voting on whether to formally request that SCOTUS overturns their own decision that federally legalized it in the first place. This measure is identical to one passed last year that didn't go anywhere in SCOTUS.
