New to Stephen King but I finished Pet Semetary this morning

Fucking hell man. The book started off kind of slow but once it got going, it was just an incredible ride.

I'm still thinking about the end and probably will be for a while even though I really want to move on to the next book on my list!

I'm so jealous that you're just getting into King's work. You have years of books to read ahead of you!

He's such a good storyteller. Is IT on your list? My personal favourite.

I couldn't finish It. I don't do clowns. I think Dead Zone was my first and that such with me for awhile.

Very often like that with Stephen King, the beginning is slow but it's imho very important because that put in place the characters and build up a kind of special relationship between the reader and the characters or locations. Then something happens and the novel become really gripping.

This is one of the few King books I found truly scary when I read it. But I'm sure it's absolutely terrifying now I have young kids myself!
