3 separate letters, some just repeat, so the commenter is technically right since the question didn't specify only 3 letters.

Deer also works

No, I get the reply. It’s the initial tweet (what animal has only three letters in it) that I don’t get the point of.

Hence the reason it's almost certainly fake. Even a 5 year-old could easily rattle off several animals with three letters in them without much thought.

Now if it was something like what animals has only two letters in it, that's something most people would actually have to think about.

Aren't really different from bulls, just different intended use cases and reproductive statuses

I don't think the wording of the prompt allows for repeated letters to be one

Eel, ray, rat, bat… is this engagement bait for people who think they’re smart the way that AI slop with veterans with no limbs and ‘NOBODY WILL TELL HIM HAPPY BIRTHDAY 😢’ is engagement bait for the moderately senile?

Or maybe just fake, who knows.

This is the old times fun you had in road trips before you became a soulless shiny glass zombie. That and globbering your younger brother when he foolishly replies "yes" to "would you like an hawaiian punch?"

Sure, agreed, but why say that in reply to this post? I feel like either there's a link here I'm not seeing or this is just spam.

EDIT: Got an explanation linking the post to reddit. I missed the bar at the very bottom showing reddit stuff.

Most animals are full of microplastics these days, but I'm thinking that almost none have any number of letters in them. (Unless maybe cow magnets have a model number stamped on them?)

Yes because it didn't say 3 unique/different letters. They don't lose their value as letters just because they repeat. It's still 5 letters.
