Tips for training one arm pushup?

Been using convict conditioning but not finding it great. I'm trying with one hand raised but looking for tips. Recently started placing feet further apart, not sure it's helping. Tried to do this with raised hand further to the side, which made it harder and I don't know if it's better or not.

Any tips you have would be great, thanks.

Place your feet further apart, yes, and turn your torso to the opposite side of the member your doing your pushups with.

You can ease doing several if you alternate between your left and right arm.

Start with kettlebells and do one armed rowing exercises, swings and later lifts. Start with weights that allow you to do 8-16 repetitions and increase gradually if you feel like it becomes too easy. Do archer pushups. One armed pushups take time because you can easily get injured if you don’t prepare your body for them.

For any variant of push ups, you can also play with the elevation of your feet. Range is variable but having your body perpendicular to the floor at the apex is I suppose more equivalent to flat bench, whereas a typical push up might be closer to a decline press.
