Fish died, pivoting to Plant Box of Shame
Terrarium setup seems like it would be better for my executive dysfunction. Much easier to avoid algae growth (and prevent the suffering of fish).
Planning to add a pebble or leca substrate, but keep my big plants potted. I do love me some mosses, might commit to moss directly in my tank. Also planning to get better bulbs in the aquarium hood, but this African violet and strep have been needing rehab for the last few weeks/months.

Similar here, except I left all the bits in the tank, took the water out, put a monitor in, and put this on it.

Much easier to maintain.
If you languish for large periods like I do, maybe look into isopods! They come in fun colors, clean up themselves, and require less care than some finicky houseplants. And they're fairly cheap, to boot!
Sorry to hear about your fish loss. I'm digging your plant hospital, though. It'll look awesome with some substrate and moss.
