Yeah, the great thing about robust systems are, if the people at the top are removed, the people at the bottom keep it going until the people at the top are replaced. I want to think some of our systems are robust, but, uh, we have a demented clown running things

I always wonder how accelerationists imagine themselves in this collapsed society.

The same way people who fantasize about zombie apocalypses. Free roaming survivors enjoying the fruits of a dead civilization with bits of largely consequence free violence thrown in here and there.

Either that or they think their ideology will come out on top, and they're enjoy the fruits of their utopia, while all the non-believers are long dead, having been killed off by their fellow ideologues.

Good question, can't answer that as I'm not an accelerationist.

I dont think a collapse happens not by itself in such a case, but by civil rights groups, socialists, anarchists, workers and ordinary people bringing it down. It will depend on them to build a better system.

My vote would go to democratic socialism, but most societal systems would be better than the most powerful nation being a facist system imho

Yeah, a controlled collapse led by my preferred party who then lead the new society into my perfect system sounds awesome.

Don't forget the part about where the new leader voluntarily gives up control because they've achieved utopia.

Jup, that's why personality cult sucks. Can't wait for the easy fix that humans seem to like it, even if they know its bad. Evolutionary I guess, we tend to personify.

Well speaking historically if a system needed a fundamental change (revolutionary one might say) it seems that doing such changes in rather short time and rather drastically has worked better than incremental change

Well I would be happy with another system to if we decide so trough fair discourse as a society. Maybe I am naiv, but i consider facism as the bad end of the spectrum as far as societal systems go, most stuff is better even if its not my preferred utopia.

Society can always collapse further.

Until people are fighting their neighbors with sticks and stones with no power or gas or internet for the dregs of the least-collapsed house in the region, it can always get worse.

I still think that if it all comes down wrong it wouldn't be unreasonable for china to start pulling the us apart and eating it so I'd argue for controlled demolition rather than just collapse

When people say "mentioned in the Epstein files" they mean "incriminatingly mentioned in the Epstein files"
