The shareholders of Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace today announced an agreement with BlueCo, the consortium that bought Chelsea FC in May 2022.

The move marks the intent of Chelsea’s owners in wanting to invest in other teams and build a multi-club model. In their year under the ownership of Clearlake Capital, Todd Boehly, Mark Walter and Hansjorg Wyss, Chelsea had been exploring a multi-club model, in which they would be one of a network of clubs, similar to the Red Bull group or City Football Group.
