The CU defense held up longer than I thought, but they seem to be roughly who we expected. The CU offense is coming together much quicker than I thought, I'll admit it.
The offense in this game is like a heavyweight bout. Can’t believe that Prime is already got the buffs rolling on offense. Sean Lewis was a really good hire and I thought he’d be a P5 head coach by now.
For Colorado this is already a massive improvement over last year. I feel they will be top tier in the next three years. Just in time for my own kid to start going there.
Yeah I feel like I was higher than consensus on Colorado coming into the season but this is still way better than I predicted. Granted, TCU could just be way worse than expected, but this is still great for Colorado. Should be an exciting future for the Big 12

What was expected from them? They certainly shouldn't be #17 in the AP poll. They lost so many guys. The only thing really going for them is if you think Sonny Dykes is really good
Yeah they definitely just have a legacy rank based on making the NCG last year, realistically they shouldn’t have been ranked. But they were still expected to be top half of the Big 12.
I can’t believe how well he’s still playing after over 100 snaps. Will be interesting to see if he can keep it up the whole season without being injured
I can’t believe how quickly this cobbled-together team is looking like the real deal. I never would’ve imagined them doing this good. And I don’t think TCU looks bad either, other than Morris.
One thing you can't say is that was a boring game.
Side note: I love we're doing game threads on Lemmy!
Man I’m sure glad I deleted my Reddit account so no one can dig up all my anti-coach prime comments on there
😆
Fantastic game. As a Jayhawk, I’m looking forward to Colorado coming home to the Big 12.
I hate that I want the buffs to win this
Ain’t no defense being played on that there field
No tackle. Only Interception.
Ok, this Colorado team isn't just hype. That was a great opening drive.
WOW! Interception in the endzone. The Buffs are for real!

TCU will finish in the bottom half of the Big XII this year.
Either Colorado hit a Homerun with Prime or TCU is in trouble
Well... CU marches the whole length of the field to draw first blood. Did not expect that.

CUs offense is really impressive. If they go up by two scores right off the bat that could be huge.
This game is much more exciting than I expected.
Man I don't want to turn away, but I have to pick up a pizza to get back before the 3:30 games... Should have ordered delivery
Good Block by TCU
Buffs living up to the hype.

Hunter is wild
Still better tackling than USC.
oof, well you win some you loose some. Good drive for the cavs
edit: wrong game thread but you get the idea
Well, that happened. 'Scuse me, between my alma mater on Thursday and my wife's alma mater, also my local team for the last two decades....
I think I have kerosene to go drink. Worst part of this is now I actually need Colorado to be legitimately good all year so this doesn't look as bad.
Geez. Hunter is bananas.
I can’t believe how well he’s still playing after over 100 snaps. Will be interesting to see if he can keep it up the whole season without being injured
Boy, the whole Big Noon Kickoff show was basically a Colorado show... It would be hilarious if TCU absolutely crushes the Buffs
It's what we're all hoping for
Speak for yourself, I don't know how anyone can cheer for Kendall Briles.
Blocked FG!!!
Score: 24-21
Gus Johnson: Looks like we got an old-fashioned Big XII game
This isn't even the final form of Big XII football. Just wait until triple overtime...
Just walks into the end zone. Not great D by the Buffs there
Hate to say it, but I think Deion is the real deal, at least going from this game.
Some backyard football here
Why are we still getting post-game coverage when the game went over? They need to switch the broadcast to the Texas game already
They knew what everyone is going to talk about all week.
So, does Colorado now have two Heisman contenders on it? I think so.
Coach Prime!
Have family in town and haven't been able to pay attention like I might have liked. Probably the best thing for my blood pressure.
Nice return! Go Frogs!
With these lead changes, this game has become much more exciting than I anticipated
I can’t believe how quickly this cobbled-together team is looking like the real deal. I never would’ve imagined them doing this good. And I don’t think TCU looks bad either, other than Morris.
The hype is for real.
All tied up
Feels like TCU really needed that field goal. Momentum is all with CU still.
OK, maybe this fumble will bring the momentum TCU's way
Last team to have the ball is going to win this. Both defenses are out of gas
A catch in with that coverage is straight up impressive yo
edit: well...
I have this game and the Air Force game on and both are a joy to watch!
Just made an Air Force game thread here
Thank you! #1 Rushing Offense in College Football!
Special teams also getting that redemption arc going here in the 2nd half
edit: I did it again
CERTIFIED FOOT BANGER
It's only one score at halftime, right were the horned frogs want the buffs
I'm thinking that TCU hoped to be up by 24 at this point.
