Great shave! I have finally cracked the code on this razor. I was inspired to revisit the honing of this razor when I saw @[email protected] using a Torrey Razor Co. yesterday, which is from the same factory as this Worcester Razor Co. The factory is now loft apartments.
Today's challenge soap is House of Mammoth - Cookie. I don't have Cookie, which sounds great, but I do have a couple tubs of House of Mammoth. This morning I picked Snippid.
It's a nice camphorous and green scent that worked well with Cypress and Summer Storm. I can tell that the soap isn't doing the fragrance any favors -- this is one where I may consider buying the fragrance.
This is my 3rd or 4th shave with this brush, and they all have been rather rough. I guess I'm getting brushburn, and since it is a sythetic, this is probably not getting any better over time. Anyone of you knowing a way to soften up a synth?
AYLM is a bit overpriced IMO (depends also where you are based), but the hard base is an improvement over their previous soft base. Their scents are good though and original, in a not so classic way. They have great gourmands.
I find the SV base is one of the best around. Most of their scents are dupes AFAIK, but really flawless. Also, contrary to AYLM, you can be sure that there's no menthol in it.
SV is the safe bet, AYLM if you feel adventurous.
Edit: Koké is quite something - bewildering first contact, but great once you get used to it.

These are great razors for the money.

I don't have the theme soap, but I've got the brand. Hygge has 50% of the scent notes of Cookie.
Have a good day.

Shared via emacs & sotd.elHow is Abbate y La Mantia? I'm thinking about getting a hard shaving soap like theirs or SV next time I make a purchase.
