Is it me or is Elementor getting harder to use and the Block Editor getting easier
I've loved Elementor for so long. It's the page builder that I default to most of the time when I'm building sites for my clients at my agency. But lately it's gotten so bloated and hard to use.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I've build a few with the native block editor and I'm liking where that's finally heading.
Gutenberg have become so much better over time. Anecdotally, replacing Elementor with a custom theme relying on native blocks cut off 70% of page rendering time from one website I've been tasked with optimizing. It's a lot of work but the blocks have about as little overhead as my previously favorite approach of composing pages out of sections (custom post type) with ACF, while the editing UX is improved and one can make repeaters without ACF Pro or a gallery plugin.
I agree.
