I've struggled with my monstera adansonii when it was a wee little thing. It's practically a beast now, 1.5 years later.
Took a picture before I chop and prop this up. The leaves are so big. I'm a proud plant parent.

You should! I used to struggle with root rot before, turns out they like more chunky soil mix. Once they take off they are fairly easy to take care of.
