Best bowl for wet shaving

I got around to getting myself a safety razor, brush, and soap a little while ago, and I'm very happy with no longer having to deal with awful machine shaves. However, I haven't settled with a good bowl for mixing up the soap. Currently I just go for something from the kitchen cabinet, and none of them are very convenient and it's all very breakable making me uncomfortable bringing it on top of the bathroom sink where things easily slide around.

Does anyone have recommendations either specifically for which bowl to get, or more generally what to look for in a good bowl? Shape, material, and stuff like that. Ideally I'd try to find something second hand, but right now I'm not even sure exactly what to look for.

I don't want anything plastic or American.

I have a Yaqi plastic bowl – which, you probably guessed it, is plastic, but it also exists in ceramic.

I'm using it every time I shave. I like that I can put the brush to rest in a special place so that the handle cannot drop into the lather; I also like that it is sufficiently big and very light. It gets more slippery when wet and lathery, but not by much.

Also, I've dropped many things, and I've repeatedly dropped the shaving bowl. It does not have a dent, and is in great shape. Like @[email protected] said, plastic is probably the best material.

There are also collapsible silicone bowls around, but I've never tried any.

I finally got around to checking the brand on one of my favorite bowls. It fits easily in your hand. It's relatively lightweight so it doesn't hold much heat, but overall I give it a thumbs up.

It looks like the one Aesop sells is the 13cm version. Amazon has different sizes if you search for Sori Yanagi bowl.
