My improved hi-hat controller for the Nitro

Tired of how bad is the original one, I made a proper Alesis Nitro / Nitro Max hi-hat controller. This works much better than the original one and it can play Closed / Half Open /Open and Chik properly, without crazy pressing on the pedal but in a more normal drum kit way.

I have been using it for 3-4 months now and Iove it! Since many people already showed interest, I decided to make a pre-order campaign, if at least 10 people order it, I will make a batch of them!

This is for actual (acoustic) drumming, or for electronic (recording, or rhythm gaming) drumming? The two categories are not mutually exclusive, but I'm seeing a lot of terms I saw people in the Rockband community talking about for custom drum kits (which IIRC the pro ones could be made to play real drums, but since you didn't have any drums filled with air and the sensors were not pressure sensitive (a hit was a hit, weight did not matter), there was only so much you could do outside the games.

Not op. Alesis makes electric kits, without sound they're basically just a rack of practice pads. Tbh I've never tried recording or hooking it up to any games or anything, I just use them to practice in my apartment without annoying the neighbors too much. My kit (the alesis nitro mesh) is one of the cheapest they sell, but they are pressure sensitive as you mention. Nicer kits have multiple sensors to detect where on the drum head or symbol the hit happened and modify the sound accordingly.

I'm also seeing that 404 though, and I'm a little bit interested
