'It's a damn shame': Park Service crews dismantle President’s House exhibit on slavery

Members of the National Park Service removed signage around the President’s House historic site on Independence Mall on Thursday afternoon, in what appeared to be the fulfillment of an executive order from the White House meant to remove displays in America’s national parks that “disparage” the nation.

The signage was part of the exhibition “The President’s House: Freedom and Slavery in the Making of a New Nation,” which was unveiled in December 2010. It provided information about the nine enslaved people who then-president George Washington brought with him to the Philadelphia presidential residence and Washington’s ties to slavery.

All these dumb fuckers throughout the years decrying the removal of confederate statues and monuments under the guise of preserving history (when many of those statues were erected decades after the civil war to assert white supremacy) are either quiet or celebrating this most recent rejection of reality. Always fucking lying, these stupid assholes. It's never about history or whatever poor excuse they use to constantly be the ignorant pieces of shit that they are. These man children are terrified the arrangement set by white supremacist patriarchy is (hopefully) soon to collapse. This era is a tantrum of ignorant terrified men. Unfortunately I know many people participating in the tantrum, but I'll never forget when the tides turn and they try to convince anyone it wasn't them.
