Drilling is fine. Oil has thousands of uses, burning it is fucking stupid
A huge majority of crude oil production goes towards fuels and we still have an enormous problem with the amount of plastic we use, we can definitely stand to drill less
The plastic problem is temporary, bacteria has already evolved to eat it. The best use for oil is in drugs. Pain relievers, antibiotics, sanitisers
No, bacteria (and some other things like fungi) have evolved to eat some kinds of plastic, and we don't yet know how scalable that is or if it has significant environmental side effects. Regardless, the bigger matter here is that we burn a huge majority of extracted crude oil. If we stop doing that, we can drill far less
I don't know who told you that, in human terms the plastic problem is permanent, it's everywhere, in our foodchain, in our bodies, no bacteria aren't going to save us from it. There are also virtually unregulated chemicals in plastics that get disseminated from them.
It's just enzymes and carbon. We are carbon based lifeforms and we've only just started with genetic engineering. I bet we have something in the next 20 years

Both LSD and cannabis have seriously underutilized medical uses, and compared to alkohol which is legal and socially accepted in every European country, they aren't that bad even if you overdo it.
And the new right-Wing German government stopped funding it.

"Overtake," as in increases in capacity are more in renewables than fossil fuels I'm sure. The vast majority of energy is still fossil fuels.
In Spain we already had a power outage because of this. The government tried to hide it, yesterday, yes, yesterday, we were at our limit after we had to shut down Wind power because wind speeds were too high.
They had to shut down part of the industry which is an emergency plan just to lower demand a bit at that time.
The most precious tech human has discovered in terms of ecology and power, is nuclear, which in the previous outage is what helped us kickstart the power grid again (France's nuclear) and is what this time saves the supply from giving up.
Ecology is beautiful, but giving up nuclear is popularism and nuclear fuzz
