The Real Thing

Not actually here to hate on a show I haven't seen yet. Just a silly meme to remind everyone of the awesome '90s Marvel Comics series.

I can safely say it peaked when our cadets stole a runabout to fly to Talos IV and join forces with Christopher Pike in fighting off a Jem'Hadar invasion -- which led to a line-wide crossover with the TNG and DS9 crews getting involved to combat the Dominion's ultimate plan to wipe out all telepathic races in the Alpha quadrant.

Good times.

I need to get my hands on it. I worked in a comic shop once upon a time, but these days I don't get out to them too often.

I read it through my library, which keeps a good stock of Trek comic volumes. I think I now also have a PDF of it from a Humble Bundle.

I only recently heard of this one, but it looks like they just used the ship to ship combat system from the 25th Anniversary game?

I loved that one enough that I think i should find this one emulated just for nostalgia’s sake.

It's different from the CD version of 25th Anniversary or Judgment Rites, but it is roughly similar.

If you look it up, you might want to get both the SNES & Sega 32X versions - they're very similar, but the SNES version is notable for doing smooth polygonal 3D without SuperFX support. Mind you, the frame rate is interesting, but the controls are all built around it.
