Can we change title to this? Moron with no scientific expertise reccomends fad diet to bolster US agriculture

He has a law degree and his daddy used to be somebody so we have to listen to his uninformed opinions about everything

He's uh claiming to be "ending the war on saturated fats" so one may want to re-evaluate. The focus on animal proteins (plant proteins get only side mentions) and animal fats is already going against what actual health officals say. For instance from the article:

As it is, Americans are consuming protein in amounts well above the amount that is necessary to sustain health and development," Marie-Pierre St-Onge, a professor at Columbia University Nutrition, told ABC News.

These seem like sane recommendations somehow.

Encouraging limiting highly processed food, eating whole foods like fruits and vegetables, incorporating healthy fats, prioritizing protein-rich meals, dairy with no added sugars, and reducing refined carbohydrates.

The recommendations are for protecting the American farming and ranching industry first, and people second if at all, as it has been basically since the FDA was conceived.

That being said, encouraging high protein without high fibre to process it?

If you're eating whole fruits and vegetables as also recommended... the fiber should come with them. Fiber doesn't just come from enriched processed foods and supplements.

It’s better… but it seems like a return to the 1950s guidelines somehow.

We know that dairy causes problems, but it still gets recommended.

He's also recommending saturated fats in all things, not just dairy.
