This was achieved using the monstrosity of a setup you can kinda see in the background. It's too many crabpots to count (their appearance comes from the "Gwen's Medieval Craftables" mod) chained together using the automate mod that ends up dropping everything into a handful of mini shipping bins.

The chain goes from all the way to the east of the map, across the plank bridge, partially around the pier and to the very westernmost point of the beach. Since I have the perk that removes the need for crabpots to use bait, it can run unattended and it generates 10k-12k of passive income per day.

I think I managed to "catch" almost 7k crabs and 5k lobsters. It's been running for around 2 in-game years.
