The kicker is, things like this have happened in the past with redacted materials (there was a famous one a few years back, but now I can't remember what it was.) Which begs the question - was this incompetence, or malicious compliance?

you get a blue check for paying something like $9/month. very good feature because it instantly tells you that you can entirely disregard the post you're about to read because it was written by someone stupid enough to give money to the app formerly known as twitter (and thus elon musk) every month

This is real. However, believing that the blacked out portions are what truly needed to be redacted by this admin seems naive. Redacting things properly is one of the few things that the US does well.

Victims names etc. are there, but as long as a certain tanning cream gremlins appearances are "exaggerated and false," they don't care.
