Idalia has strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane with winds of 75 mph and is expected to further intensify into a dangerous Category 3 storm before making landfall on Florida’s Gulf Coast on Wednesday, according to the National Hurricane Center.

I hate that I've gotten to the point with Florida that I don't give a fuck if they get smoked by a hurricane. Such a shitty way to feel as a human being, but it's how it is now.
That "living in paradise" mantra could not be farther from the truth.

I think we need to start calling hurricanes sea leopards and wildfires forest leopards because they're eating the fuck out of our faces.
The "good " thing is that it continues to track towards more sparsely populated areas. I just hope the folks there actually bother to evacuate.
