It’s kind of wild to me that Roblox is mainly populated by younger kids, given how old it is. Same with Minecraft.

Minecraft avarage user age is actually 24-year-old, though 43% of the user base has an age between 15 to 21 years.

Anyway, it's no wonder they are full of kids since there are a LOT of content creators for kids that play those games and both companies kind of aim kids

It's kind of wild to me that kindergartners usually 4-5 years old, given how kindergartens existed for 100s of years.

Thing is, while it's old enough that I remember it existing during my childhood, I don't remember it being very popular or having nearly the same features as it does now.

I'm not well-versed enough to know what the update was, but there must have been one big update that really pushed it into the zeitgeist sometime between when I was in high school and when I finished university.

Meanwhile, Minecraft is like virtual Legos. It's gonna be popular with kids for like all time.

Is game free to play and/or marketed to parents and their children?

If so, the squeakers shall flood your game. This is even seen in less kid friendly F2P games like TF2 and CS2.

I'm 25 and I played Roblox as a kid. Back then it was just digital legos, now there's mass produced bootleg copies of games accurate enough to be a financial threat and enough integrated microtransactions to make a mobile game blush.
