I wouldn’t be surprised if this was an actual feature, seeing it in every fucking app now (yearly rewinds). Like fuck off, I dont care and feel “violated” for you monitoring this kind of shit.

Except you Steam, you cool…

Is this really such a thing now? I apparently only use Steam.

I got one on discord recently. Kinda creepy.

I do get pestered about mine, including full-screen popups about it. If I do agree to view it I get an error screen because they couldn't collect that data due to my privacy settings.

You'd think they could check for that before bombarding me with disruptive popups. (Then again, Discord is 50% disruptive popups these days so it's par for the course.)

Haha the same happened to me and I laughed triumphantly (as they continue to harvest my data)

Yes. Spotify got one aswell, and on my girlfriends phone, her default photo app provided her with a rewind that showed her certain topics she seems to enjoy photos of, in her case "cats" (containing plenty of images of my dog).

Im pretty sure Spotify was the originator of the trend...

Last.fm the website had stats for curious availiable at all times, but yearly wrap is indeed something smartphone apps invented.

4

Yes I got one for dunkin donuts and it made me question every life choice and not want to go to the store... than idono make me excited for it or something

6

My EV charging app sent me a wrapped-style email the other day. Full of stuff like the station that I used most often. It's too much.

Even LinkedIn did one. Completely unnecessary but it drives engagement and whatever else helps the algorithm™️

I don't even hate the concept of the rewinds; they just mostly suck. The one for Discord was basically just "heres who you chatted with most, the server you sent most messages in, and how many emojis you sent." I don't care. Youtube and YTMusic have one. Spotify added an AI Wrapped podcast last year. Even the NYT Games app has one.

They KNOW why "YOU" use incognito lol "whet"

Royal you, not YOU you

3

lol, I keep trying to explain this. Incognito only removes your local browsing so your mate doesn't see what you were planning to get them, or the porn you prefer to watch. It does not hide from websites or ISPs etc. Not even sure how well it does that.

Neat little typo there though "whet", is THAT what you were up to? lol

5

Note that Google never did false advertisement. If you think your browser not saving a history makes you immune to scrutiny you are not being reasonable.

Funny how OP spends the time to make this and cannot even grammar check a single sentence.

Not sure if funny or sad since they can play it off as intentional here.

I didn’t make this. I stole it fair and square, like all of my other memes.

Why not fix your attitude before posting this comment?

I'm of course guilty of not posting much! Wasn't asking anything from people either though. I'm interested to know why someone would post/repost content without checking it first. I don't think in the only one bothered by the "whet".
