I don't know if it's racist, but it definitely feels weird. Any time a white person is doing something fairly inocuous but feels the need to bring up race, I wonder if they're racist.
No, if that was all they did. But how is that "pretending to be Asian"? The only way to "pretend to be Asian" would be to engage in stereotype, which is racist.
I don't think I'm qualified to have an opinion one way or another on this specific one, but there's a conversation out there around "Are all stereotypes racist?" mostly thinking along the lines of positive stereotypes.
The main popular idea is that if I say "X race is smart" that implies that other races are not smart, but then the counterpoint is that with that statement you may have invalidated the idea of compliments altogether because you can apply that logic as broadly as you want outside the bounds of race and expand it to any person/group. There's also the idea of whether or not something has to be negative to be racist and even going from there... where does subjective opinion come in? I.e., if we assume it has to be negative to be racist, how much should we consider the opinion on that negativity from the initiator and also the observer of the potential racism?
Odd to include a trigger warning for something so innocuous
Is it racist to pretend to be an Asian teenager?

honestly, i don't know.
How, uh, how would you do it in a way that wasn't?
So if they said "I'm 14 and I'm from Beijing" that would be considered racist in your eyes?
No, if that was all they did. But how is that "pretending to be Asian"? The only way to "pretend to be Asian" would be to engage in stereotype, which is racist.
No necessarily, but since they didn't specify a specific country, very likely.

Is a fan account a social media account where you post about a celebrity?
i think so
There is no need to be embarrassed about a singular fans account.
